January 

• Gym Shoe January: Sharefax collected gym shoes during the month of January to donate to Bob Ronker’s The Running Spot where they will be used to make tennis and basketball courts and/or playground flooring.
  
  

February

• Healthy Heart Awareness: February is Healthy Heart Awareness month! Sharefax will be collecting donations for the American Heart Association for the month. Stop in to donate today!
  

March

Batavia, Ohio (March 29, 2011) – Sharefax Credit Union, Inc. raised over $1,200 for Cincinnati Children’s Hospitals during the 5th Annual Marching Miles for Miracle Kids Charity Walk.

The first of March kicked off a month long fundraising campaign at Sharefax. Members, employees, friends and family all donated to help miracle children in the Cincinnati area.

Members had the ability to donate money over-the-counter as well as in donation bins at each Sharefax office. As a token of appreciation, donors received a “Miracle Maker” bracelet and a balloon with their name, which were displayed throughout each location. Staff members were also able to solicit sponsorships from friends and family through the Marching Miles website.

Sharefax employees donated their time by walking approximately 4 miles through Downtown Cincinnati. The event kicked off late Monday afternoon at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and ended at Fountain Square. Following the walk, Palomino’s held an after-hours event where proceeds were contributed to Cincinnati’s fundraising efforts.

“Credit unions all over Ohio join together for Marching Miles each year. Our walkers were really dedicated to raising money for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and we couldn’t have had better weather for the event”, commented Lisa Evans, Training Coordinator for Sharefax Credit Union.

June

• Ronald McDonald House: Help Sharefax prepare meals for the families residing at the Ronald McDonald House in the month of June. Sharefax employees will prepare two meals at the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House where sick children and their families stay while being treated at Children’s Hospital. Sharefax will be accepting monetary donations as well as non-perishable food and cleaning items to take to the Ronald McDonald House.
  
  

July

• School Supply Drive: Remember to grab a few extra school supplies this month! Sharefax will be collecting school supplies for Santa Monica Community Services. You can drop off your donation at any Sharefax branch location.
  
  

September

• 2011 Komen Greater Cincinnati Race for the Cure: Join Sharefax on Saturday, September 24th in downtown Cincinnati to help in the fight against breast cancer. Remember to stop in to any location to make a donation today! 
  
  

October

• Cincinnati Walk for Kids for Children’s Hospital: Join us on Saturday, October 15th at Coney Island! Visit us at our sponsorship booth before heading out on the 3 mile walk with your family and friends. You will be able to enjoy refreshments, music, crafts and much more.
  

• Yellow Ribbon Support Group: During the month of October, Sharefax will be collecting numerous items for our troops overseas. Visit any Sharefax branch for a full list and to drop off your donations. Our troops need our support!
  
  

November & December

• In partnership with Child Focus, Sharefax will adopt 3 local families and spread the holiday cheer. Stop in to any Sharefax branch to pick an ornament tag from the giving tree to help provide a memorable Christmas for one of your fellow neighbors. Please remember to think of others during this holiday season.
