Fraud Alert – 11/30/20
Alert! There have been multiple attempts by impostors during the holiday season to gain confidential information from our members to process fraudulent transactions. If you receive a call stating that your plastic card has been compromised and requesting that you enter a code or provide your account/social security number, please do not respond even if the phone number on your caller ID appears to be Sharefax. The credit union and Visa/Mastercard’s fraud departments will never ask for this type of information. Sharefax will definitely never ask you to input a code number.
If you receive such a call, please reject the request and report the call to Sharefax as soon as possible.
