We encourage students and families to start with savings, grants, scholarships, and federal student loans to pay for college. Students and families should evaluate all anticipated monthly loan payments, and how much the student expects to earn in the future, before considering a private student loan.
These loans are made by Sallie Mae Bank or a lender partner. Sharefax Credit Union is not the creditor for these loans and is compensated by Sallie Mae for the referral of loan customers.

Promoting the program is a great way to support members pursuing higher education and showcase your credit union's people-first mission.

Eligibility
The three scholarships are available to student applicants who are at least a high school senior, a member of an Ohio-based credit union, and plan to pursue an undergraduate degree for the 2024-2025 school year. Complete details can be found here.

How to Apply
Student should create and submit a 1 to 2-1/2-minute video addressing:

Video entries should be innovative, and can be simple, funny, serious, edgy, or anything in between. Entries will be judged on originality, content accuracy, and how effectively they answer the scholarship question.
